Chad Williams, a new attorney for Curney, Garcia, Farmer, Pickering and House, was arrested four years ago for intoxicated manslaughter for the death of a motorcyclist. Williams had been intoxicated on the night of the accident and pulled out in front of the motorcyclist and the collision ended in death.
William's defense attorney, Bobby Barrera, was able to receive a plea agreement from the Assistant District attorney of a Class B DWI. The DA was not able to prove intoxication was the cause of the accident in this case. William's is expected to receive 6 months in jail or probation, he is also awaiting the decision for the Texas Board on whether he is fit to practice law.
